Biography
Saint Ida of Nivelles, daughter of Bishop Arnoald of Metz and sister of Saints Modoald of Trier and Severa, lived a life deeply intertwined with the early Christian nobility of the Frankish realm. Married to Saint Pepin of Landen, she bore three children who themselves became saints: Gertrude of Nivelles, Begga of Ardenne, and Grimoald, who later served as mayor of the palace.
