Saint Alypius Stylites, a revered figure in early Christian asceticism, dedicated his life to radical renunciation and contemplative prayer. Born into the world of service as a deacon, he profoundly transformed his existence upon encountering the call to holiness. Renouncing all worldly possessions, he first embraced the monastic life, then sought deeper solitude as a cave hermit.
