Biography

Saint Abraham the Poor, a devoted disciple of Saint Pachomius of Tabenna, dedicated twenty-three years to monastic life under the saint’s guidance at the monastery of Tabenna. Following this period of formation, he embraced a life of profound solitude, retreating to a cave for seventeen years. His existence was marked by radical simplicity and unwavering faith, earning him the enduring nicknames *the Poor* and *the Child*.
