Saint Trophimus
Feast Day: September 19
Biography
Trophimus, or Trophimus the Ephesian, was a Christian companion of Paul during his third missionary journey. He accompanied the apostle to Jerusalem where he was involved in events that led to Paul's imprisonment due to misunderstandings among the Jews regarding his presence in the temple. In a letter to Timothy, Paul mentions leaving Trophimus behind at Miletus because of an illness. This event is not recorded in the Acts of the Apostles and its exact details are unknown. His feast day is celebrated on December 29th.
Trophimus's role as a faithful companion underscores his importance in early Christian history, but specific details about his life beyond these events remain uncertain.
